Just now finishing up all the things I need to do to prepare for starting GSLIS @ UIUC. I didn’t realize one needs like 5 different logins to be able to take courses online. This is going to be interesting. Now I’m just hoping I can get some of these scholarships under my belt, and get NIU to hire me full time so I can get those oh so great tuition waivers and such.

So this is a good close to long and busy month. I think for everyone. Wonderful weather (here at least), politics, natural disasters, stagnant economy, rising gas prices…what hasn’t happened. But I’m taking it all slow. Hoping things just keep moving in a forward direction. “We are here to create, not merely survive”

And on a geek note i got my Lenovo ThinkPad R61 and have been having fun playing around with it. Removing the bloatware of Vista and finally getting to try out Ubuntu. It feels an awful like OS X. Which isn’t bad, makes a few things familiar…but I have to keep playing around with it and see how I like it and what I can do with it.

That’s about it. Time to listen to some new music…
